How Microfinance Creates New Paths for Women’s Growth and Success
Rural women in India have faced discrimination and less financial independence for a long time. Even though banks are present in remote regions, these women are not able to access proper financial services since they don’t have the required documents and lack formal education. Microfinance institutions assist women in rural parts of our country by providing small amounts of credit. Chaitanya is a microfinance bank in Jharkhand that focuses on improving the lives of such women by providing loans and helping them start their own businesses.

Group Lending
Group Lending
Our women’s group loan is designed to help women from economically backward regions of India. We start by forming Joint Liability Groups (or JLGs) and provide training to the members. We then conduct quality checks and disburse the credit amount. Each member of this group is responsible for repaying their loan.

Retail Loans

As a prominent microfinance company in India, we also provide retail loans to help women borrow money for household or personal needs. We offer retail loans because the amount of JLG loans might not always work as intended. This way, women can avail individual loans and use them to improve their families.
